The Industrial Revolution

Dear Sharon,
Wats up Sharon? So many things have been going on here in England that
it's to much to say. I never imagined that so much change can happen all
at once. Anyways, I left the farm just a few weeks ago because we were losing
our job. But, hey there are alot of new interesting things to do here in
the city. Eventhough, I loved to farm, new changes and inventions have made
that job alot easier and so other owners have made higher production farms
that left me without a job. Such discoveries as crop rotation helped the
farmers to grow different crops, like turnips, in the land and by doing
so it wouldn't exhaust the land. I thought that was a great idea, but which
made things even easier was what Jethro Tull invented, the seed drill. That
drill would do a farmers work faster and tidier. It surely did save time
and the plants would grow faster and it wouldn't be blown off by the wind
or taken by birds. I have seen even more new discoveries going on here in
the city, alot has changed.
Machines and factories were also built. These machines helped
produce clothes, and other products faster and cheaper. Before we used to
make all of ourclothing and everything else by hand, it was rally exhausting.
These factories made life easier and gave us more conforts. Another great
inventor that amde the textile industry even more advanced was John Kay.
Work here in the textile factories is alot easier becasue of this great man.
He invented the "Spinning Jenny", which allowed us to do twice the work
in a day. These inventions were really improving our lives, but that wasn't
the only thing that was improving.
Transportation is also advancing greatly with the famous
steam engine. These improvements on the steam engine were done in order
for the products we were making to be sold in places farther away. Now it
was easier for me and other people to get their products at cheaper prices
and faster. Alot of people were getting things that they never had acces
too. All of these industries were growing fast, which created alot of jobs,
and thats why I'm here. England is full of life with the population growing
and growing here in the city. I just hope all of this gets better and better
because we are really progressing and improving our lives.
