Karl Marx
Hi Mom how are u? As you know I like to tell you all the things I discored, that I find out, so that's what I am going to do now. Mom I meet a man, he's name is Karl Marx. He wants to change things, to make it better around here. Mom remember I wrote you about industrial revolution and capitalism? This man doesn't like it because it divided people into two groups, working class and middle class. The middle class had more power and the working class had no power. Marx thought that capitalism and the industrial revolution would destroy itself. He said factories would drive small artisans out of business, leaving a small number of manufactures to control all the wealth. The large proletariat would revolt seize the factories and mills from the capitalism, and produce what society needed. To make it a better future he thought about communism a form of complete socialism in which the means of production- all land, mines, factories, railroads, all business- would be owned by the people. Mom another good thing that this man did is that he din't let children under 9 years old worked, that's call the "factory Act of 1833". And the "Ten Hours Act of 1847" it limited the workday to ten hours for women and children who worked in factories. Bye mom
